据外媒报道,一项新的研究证明,DNA仅占染色体物质的一半,远小于之前的设想。研究人员称,高达47%的染色体结构是围绕着遗传物质的未知“鞘膜”。尽管这种鞘膜的具体功还能是未知数,研究人员认为它可在细胞分裂的关键过程中保持染色体之间彼此分隔。科学家认为这种所谓的染色体周边有助于防止细胞分裂出错,从而减少由此引发的癌症和与先天缺损等疾病。[查看]
